Watch Clueless Salman Butt’s Awkward Encounter With ‘PKMKB’ Slang During Live Session

Former Pakistan captain Salman Butt was left red-faced after failing to deduce the meaning of an unfamiliar online slang. The incident took place when he was talking about Pakistan’s crucial match against New Zealand in the ongoing ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup 2023.

Pakistan locked horns against the Black Caps in a do-or-die match last week and registered a stunning win. With their back against the wall, the Men in Green needed to win the game at all cost to keep their slim chances of semifinals alive. And after New Zealand piled up a huge total of 401 for 6, Pakistan’s chances of winning the game looked all but over.

However, opener Fakhar Zaman scored a sensational century to put his team in the driver’s seat before rain brought a premature end to the game. As per the DLS method, Pakistan won the game by 21 runs. At the time of the final rain interruption, Pakistan were on 200 for 1 in just 25.3 overs with Fakhar batting on 126 off 81 balls with the help of 8 fours and 11 sixes.

Salman Butt caught off guard:

As Salman Butt was conducting the live session on his YouTube channel, a seemingly innocuous question took an unexpected turn. One user asked him to share his views on ‘PKMKB’. For those who don’t know, this acronym is very popular on social media among Indian users, and it’s often used to make fun of Pakistan in an abusive manner.

The acronym carries a derogatory tone, and it’s part of the sometimes heated exchanges between online communities from the two countries. Salman Butt was clearly unaware of it and he decided to talk about it although he as well as the other speaker could not deduce the meaning of the acronym.

Talking about the ongoing World Cup, India, South Africa and Australia have already booked their place in the final. On the other hand, Afghanistan, New Zealand and Pakistan are in contention for the last available semifinals spot.
