IND vs ENG: Hardik Pandya To Miss England Clash As Precautionary Measure

Indian all-rounder Hardik Pandya’s availability for the game against England in ICC World Cup 2023 is in jeopardy. The right-hander is likely to miss the game as a precautionary measure as per the reports in CricketNext News18.

The BCCI official said that team management is unlikely to rush him against England and will be set as a precautionary measure. He also revealed that the injury wasn’t serious. Speaking to CricketNext, he explained:

“Yes, Hardik is likely to miss the next match vs England in Lucknow. It is more of a precaution at this stage and nothing serious.”

Hardik Pandya injured himself during the game against Bangladesh in Pune and walked off the field in immense pain. He twisted his ankle in the follow-through and then didn’t come on the field after that in that game.

Hardik Pandya then was ruled out of the clash against New Zealand. He didn’t travel to Dharamsala. It was earlier learned that the all-rounder will be fit for the clash against England but the new reports have suggested something different.

Hardik Pandya has played a pivotal role for the team in the World Cup. His major role has been bowling and he has aced that. His presence will be crucial for the team going ahead into the tournament as he has always proved his worth in big games.

IND vs ENG: Suryakumar Yadav likely to continue in the absence of Hardik Pandya against England

With Hardik Pandya not being there, Suryakumar Yadav got a nod ahead in the team for the clash against New Zealand. The batter got run out for 2 runs. But with the all-rounder likely to miss the next game, Suryakumar is expected to continue against England.

India are likely to continue with the same combination against England. They are in red-hot form in the ICC World Cup 2023. They have won 5 out of their 5 games in the tournament. Their game against the defending champions will be played on Sunday (29th October).
