PAK vs SL: “Babar Azam’s Biggest Achievement Is Getting Compared To Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli”

Fans on X (formerly known as Twitter) brutally trolled the Pakistan National Cricket Team captain Babar Azam after his second consecutive failure with the bat in the ongoing edition of the ICC Men’s Cricket World Cup.

Babar Azam is the No.1 ranked batsman in the ICC ODI Batting Rankings and he is also in the top 5 in the ICC Test Batting Rankings and ICC T20I Batting Rankings. He was expected to set the stage fire in the ICC World Cup 2023 in India, but so far he has failed miserably.

Babar Azam scored good runs for Pakistan in the ICC Cricket World Cup 2023 warm-up matches, but he has failed to replicate those performances in the main tournament. In the warm-ups against New Zealand and Australia, he scored 80 and 90 runs respectively.

Pakistan opened their ICC World Cup campaign against the Netherlands National Cricket Team and Babar Azam was expected to play a big innings to solidify his No.1 position in the ICC ODI Batting Rankings. However, he scored just 5 runs off 18 balls, before being dismissed by Colin Ackermann.

Pakistan National Cricket Team are taking on the Sri Lanka National Cricket Team in their second match of the competition at the Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium, Uppal, Hyderabad on Tuesday, October 10.

Babar Azam once again failed to perform with the bat as he was dismissed by Dilshan Madushanka in the 8th over. He scored just 10 runs off 15 balls, with 1 four, before walking back to the hut and leaving his side tottering at 37/2.
