Afghanistan Playing 11 vs India– ICC World Cup 2023, Match 9

Afghanistan Playing 11 vs India– ICC World Cup 2023, Match 9. Afghanistan takes on India in the ICC World Cup 2023 match 9 in Delhi on Wednesday, October 11. The match starts at 2 pm and is the second game for both teams. Afghanistan are yet to win against India in any form of cricket.

Afghanistan lost their opening game against Bangladesh. In the process, they lost an opportunity to win a game against the team who were in many ways similar to them in strengths and ability. The campaign gets tougher from here on for the Afghans as they will go up against tougher teams.

Afghanistan will be led by Hasmatullah Shahidi who is himself struggling for form. He eats up too many deliveries and is not able to even rotate the strike. He needs to find a way out to score runs.

Afghanistan’s strength remains their spin attack of Rashid Khan, Mujeeb Ur Rahman, and Mohammad Nabi. They will be playing at a venue that has historically aiden spin bowling.

The Afghan batters need to give their team a total to defend. They were bowled out for just 156 in the match against Bangladesh when they could have scored a lot more. They fielded their strongest XI in terms of their team composition against Bangladesh and should back the same side against India.
